inspiring wedding & event florals

Anemones are very delicate flowers from the Ranunculaceae family that come in a variety of colors and patterns. We think that they look absolutely brilliant in large, fluffy bouquets or in small and antique centerpieces. They accent fellow bouquet or arrangement flowers very well, but can also stand out and act as a bride’s “signature bloom;” positively versatile and wonderfully chic!

They’re the perfect bloom if you’re going for the vintage look, or even the simple, sweet and romantic feel. White Anemone petals are so dainty and the dark “eye,” or pistil, is a brilliant contrast against the soft white. Some white blooms have a deep purple or blushing pink hue streaking from the base of the pistils through the petal tips, while some have just the slightest hints of purple and pink colors, or perhaps just simply white all around. Their uniqueness in color and their daintiness in form make Anemone a one-of-a-kind bridal bloom. They pop with their stunning rich center, while at the same time are simple and soft– perfectly vintage and chic!

Check out this romantic bridal bouquet full of sweet white Anemones, cream Roses, white Hydrangea, white Peonies and its sister bloom, white Ranunculi. The Anemones break up the strong white pallet with their deep hued centers and add that special something to this romantic and chic look. Though Anemones can be a little difficult to work with since they’re so delicate and seem to sprout instantly once cut and placed in water, we love working with these gorgeous flowers and are excited when one of our brides says, “I love Anemones! What can I do with them?”
