Today have we got an exciting Blog Post to share! This is a first ever on The French Bouquet Blog: A Behind the Scenes Look! We’re so excited about getting to share with our lovely Blog followers and clientele a look at just how a wedding day with The French Bouquet goes. It’s loads of fun, but naturally lots of hard work.
The photos are behind-the-scenes shots that we quickly snapped here and there during our busy day of design and setup. Just you wait for the professional and awesome photos from the wedding’s photographer, Josh McCullock! Oh we can’t wait to see them. But before that… Let’s Go Behind the Scenes with The French Bouquet!
This particular wedding featured today took place on a private and luscious Oklahoma home ranch this September. Before the big day, the bride, Raegan, had us design a gorgeous rustic pink bridal portrait bouquet that we’ve been dying to share. Now that she’s officially married we get to reveal one of our fab-fave bouquets of the season! Not to mention we get to share her actual bridal bouquet, filled with beauties like Spray Roses, Dahlias, Globe Thistle, Ranunculi, Sedum, Hanging Amaranthus, Hydrangea, and Saw-Leaf Daisy. Her bridal portrait and wedding day bridal bouquet are both very rustic-romantic and very textured– perfect for a rustic ranch wedding.
The bridesmaid and house party bouquets were fuchsia, pink and crimson, and deep Black Baccara Rose-colored. Such a complimenting combo! We designed them with very rustic-chic elements like Gomphrena, various Roses, Plumed Celosia, Dahlias, and Trachelium. Super romantic!! Super rustic!!
We incorporated all of these flowers into the centerpieces and various other floral arrangements and architectural structures of the wedding, too. As well as Hanging Amaranthus, Scented Geraniums, White Birch Bark, Moss, Curly Willow, and Green Seeded Eucalyptus leaves and berries.
How particularly darling are all of the design touches like the carriage (that we got to add florals to!)…the books…the lace gloves…the birds’ nest of eggs…the vintage and antique pieces and furniture…the votives and candles…the mirror-glass tall centerpiece holders…the outdoor swing that we decorated…the mason jars. Oh there were so many lovely and fine details to this wedding design. When the photos from Josh McCullock Photography are published you’ll see all of the personal and intricate touches that were a part of this fantastic and hugely successful wedding design.
The ceremony arch, most definitely, was a huge feat of that day! At 16 feet tall we had to use scaffolding to decorate and design it with Curly Willow, Hydrangea, a huge Israeli Ruscus Garland, and Roses. It took a long time and involved a few extra hands on deck (a big thank you to those who helped hold the scaffolding– whew!). But in the end the personal, custom-designed, ceremony arch was perfect!
And how perfect is the arch with the rustic and romantic aisle lined with cut tree logs, topped off with floral arrangements of Hydrangea, various Rose breeds, and Hanging Amaranthus (that really provides the rustic, dramatic touch!).
There’s so much more we want to share about this fabulous outdoor ranch wedding but we’re going to have to wait until the professional photos arrive! We hope you’ve enjoyed today’s Behind the Scenes with The French Bouquet.
Our weddings and floral designs may involve a number of vehicles toting buckets and buckets of fresh florals, cartons of centerpieces, boxes of vases, and loads of equipment and materials, and we may have a lot of hands on deck, and we may be there from sun up until it’s time to clear out well before the wedding guests begin to arrive…we may even have to climb a scaffold tower to make the wedding ceremony arch of the bride’s dreams! But it’s all worth it. We love what we do and are so happy that we get to do…just that! A big thank you to all of our brides, clients and clientele who make it possible for us to do what we love!
We’ll be back on our Blog soon with more beautiful lovelies to share. What’s next? A hint: A Petite Fleur Wedding! And what’s more…the bride’s wedding we’re going to feature next was the winner of one of Petite Fleur’s FREE Wedding Flower Package giveaways!
