inspiring wedding & event florals

Trend time again! This week the trend topic is taking a turn back to the color palette. But this time, instead of bright Sunset color palettes (like HERE), or equally bright and cheerful yellow (HERE), or orange (HERE), the color palette today is filled with muted, and low-hued colors and shades. The Trend: Neutrals.

The popular neutral tones that we heard (and saw) a lot about at the trend-filled Catersource Tradeshow were shades like eggshell, taupe, sand, beige, ivory, even soft grey tones, and of course Black+White. Blushes and Champagnes, too, for the “colorful” neutrals.

White is still very popular, but while 2011 was big on solid white, 2012 is seeing white mixed with some neutrals or very natural and organic shades. And even the traditional strong white is being used (it’s a long-time favorite) but with a subtle hint of eggshell or pearl hues. (Think white Hydrangea mixed in with cream roses or off-white-colored Ranunculus.)

Going with the neutral trend for your wedding can easily be accomplished in two obvious areas: Flowers and Linens. If you want to really keep things neutral stress that when you meet with us during your consultation, and we’ll share with you some of the best vases and containers and votives to use with your particular neutral flowers. Even ribbons for the bouquets and boutonnieres. We have so many fabulous and fresh ideas!

And definitely gather inspiring photos from Pinterest (you can follow us on there, too!). Show us your Pinterest boards that you’re using to inspire the designs of all aspects of your wedding.
