inspiring wedding & event florals

We designed centerpieces with lots of mercury glass vases last year, and this year they’re even more popular. A big 2013 wedding design trend is all in the centerpiece containers:┬ámercury glass vases, gold vases, and silver vases.

Lush and elegance are what many brides of 2013 are going for, and when you use vases in gold and silver, or unique mercury glass, you really get that sense of elegance and that lush feel. These types of vases, especially combined, look really dramatic and romantic.

Something that’s growing in popularity is the combining of these types of vases. Gold and silver together is a big and fabulous trend. Tall gold vases mixed with smaller gold and silver ones…several small centerpieces and votives in gold and silver. And adding mercury glass to the bunch is a really ┬ábeautiful way to tie in the gold and silver combos and to add more texture and zing!

With a lush design in mind, consider using the popular color palettes for 2013 weddings: pink, coral, peach, pastels, and neutrals. Neutral flowers in champagne, ivory, and white look stunning in vases like mercury glass and gold and silver urns and votives. And adding in Quicksand Roses, soft pink Spray Roses, creamy Peonies, small coral Hypericum Berries, and Champagne Roses, to name just a few, round out the lush design with a soft and sweet hint of color.
