Dahlias are available to us (The French Bouquet and Petite Fleur) locally during late autumn through late spring. The French Bouquet can even get them during the earlier parts of autumn, but we usually don’t see or use them during the summer months as it’s much too hot for these little beauties that thrive in cooler temps.

So for all you cooler-weather brides who are deep in planning your weddings we hope you find the lovely inspiration you’re searching for in our Dahlia feature today!

We love using Dahlias in arrangements and bouquets that include Hydrangea, various Rose breeds, Dusty Miller and other very chic greeneries, and an all-time favorite, Ranunculus (just to name a short few).

Dahlias are versatile and a very beautiful garden flower and pair and group well with so many other flowers. Even if you opt to have an all-Dahlia arrangement (the Scarlet variety look awesome solo) Dahlias can stand on their own. They’re…well…brilliant!

At Tulsa, Oklahoma’s David’s Bridal Petite Fleur has been invited to set up a display featuring some fresh and organic bouquets and centerpieces. Delivered and displayed fresh weekly!

At Petite Fleur’s David’s Bridal display not only will brides be able to see firsthand for themselves some of Petite Fleur’s fine floral arrangements and designs, but they’ll be able to pick up easy-to-grab information about wedding floral packages from our eco-friendly sister.

Lots of color. Bold shades. Fun flowers and floral elements. Even unique vases like Mexican tin cans. How fun, right?

What do you think? The way the Scarlet Dahlias just pop in the gold vases is almost magical!

And the dainty and oh-so-girly light pink Spray Roses in the tall bronze/gold vase with the mint-colored Dusty Miller Big Leaf. Loving this!

Pink Roses and Carnations also pair beautifully with our family of gold vases. And, as is a big trend for weddings and events this year, clustering small/low and medium centerpieces works really well with our gold vases.

And if pink is your color then just imagine the near-endless possibilities for cluster arrangements with these vases! Peonies, Spray Roses, various breeds of Roses (Hot Pink Princess and Sahara would be a great contrasting duo)…and Carnations, Lisianthus, Dahlias…Ranunculus in various pink shades from dark to pale…so many options! Gold+Pink= Fabulousness!

Here are some stunning bridal portraits from Ace Cuervo Photography of one of our recent Anemone-loving brides, Lindsay. Lindsay wanted chic Anemones overflowing in her special bridal portrait bouquet so we not only used the classical black-centered Anemone, but the green-centered, as well. What do you think?

White Anemones come with either a green center or a black center, and we must say that when they’re used simultaneously the effect can be a show-stopper! Add in a bit of vibrant green via Green Hypericum Berries, and fill the base of the bouquet with voluminous white Hydrangea and voila! A gorgeous, chic, all-white and -green Anemone bridal bouquet!

Speaking of Brides of Oklahoma, we thought we’d flip through their recent issue (the Spring – Summer 2012 Special Fifth Anniversary edition). We wanted to search through it to see what delight featuring The French Bouquet florals we might want to share with you today. While breezing through the magazine and finding the Brides of Oklahoma’s Top 10 Weddings of 5 Years we instantly found our Monday Blog post!

Meet (again) Jade and Jordan, our Autumn 2010 wedding at the Philbrook Museum and Gardens that had elegance and high class, and even a romantic Old Hollywood feel to it. This wedding was spectacular!

Kevin Paul Photography captured the magnificent images. And we’ve featured Jade’s lovely Rose and Baby’s Breath bridal bouquet more than a few times on our Blog before, but it’s such a favorite among our brides and fans! And as Brides of Oklahoma magazine pointed out, this wedding is “Regal,” has “Classical Elegance,” and is truly a “Timeless Love Affair.”

On a beautiful day in March the bride and groom exchanged vows in their gorgeous Tulsa home among close family and friends–very intimate and very beautiful.

The florals were all about delightfully bright shades of yellow, with some hints of white.

The decor and wedding party attire was positively refreshing–perfect for spring! Yellow+White+a soft Pewter. We’re really loving it. And how fun are the shots of the wedding details, like the bride and groom feet shot?  Too cute!

And what a great idea: such a personal wedding setting–right inside their own home. And the intimate photography, the simple yet sophisticated and classy appeal the entire wedding and reception had…we just love everything about this wedding!
